Community of Hope, United Church of Christ (UCC) is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We are a multiracial, multicultural, open and affirming, accessible to all, Just Peace church.
Now, just what does all of that mean?
A Just Peace Church is a hallmark of United Church of Christ theological identity. “Just Peace” refers to the interrelation of friendship, justice, and common security from violence.
Open and Affirming is an official designation within the United Church of Christ affirming the full inclusion of gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and transgendered persons (LGBT) in the life and ministry of the UCC.
As for multiracial, multicultural and accessible to all – that’s just what it means! No one is excluded from the doors of Community of Hope! All are welcome regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation or status. When we say all are welcome, that’s exactly what we mean.
